NATIONAL PETROLEUM
AUTHORITY TO INTRODUCE THE ELECTRONIC MARKING SYSTEM TO MARK FUELS ON THE
MARKET
As part of measures in checking the adulteration of petroleum
product on Ghanaian market, the National Petroleum Authority has introduced a
new electronic maker that will ensure sanity in the supply of the commodity.
This move is coming on the back of findings that revealed an increased trend
petroleum product adulteration on the Ghanaian market. Chief executive officer
of the National Petroleum Authority Alex Mould has been explaining to Pravda
business how the new system will work.
Mr. Mould adds that
the authority will complement the system with a rigorous routine spot check to
flush out miscreants who indulge in such nefarious activities.
He however advises the general public not to hesitate in reporting
such incidence to the police for a proper investigation.
